Marilyn Weatherald Profile
After graduating in 1993 with a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Lethbridge I returned to my home community of Carbon, Alberta to teach at a K-12 school where I was the Grade 3, Special Education teacher, and Alberta Initiative for School Improvement leader. Then chasing my husband's career advancement in 2002, I transferred to FortMcMurray (Greely Road School) where I taught Grade 6 and Special Education. In 2004 I transferred to the community of Wetaskiwin and worked at the Montana First Nation (Meskanahk Ka Nipa Wit School) where I taught Grade 2-3 and Special Education. In the fall of 2006 we moved to Rimbey. Luckily I found myself at Rimbey Junior Senior High School in April of 2007. In 2015 I added the position of Inclusion Coach to my resume at both Rimbey Junior Senior High School and West Country Outreach School. In 2018 I added Rimbey Elementary School to my Inclusion Coach portfolio.
As the Inclusion Coach, I assist teachers in identifying the various needs of the students within the classroom. Then using a variety of resources, including technology, encourage differentiation and inclusionary practices. One part of my responsibilities is to coordinate the documentation for students so they experience the greatest success within their school programming.
Parents and students can feel free to contact me at the schools by phone at (403)843-3761 EXT 4329 or by email firstname.lastname@example.org
